And voila! A new meeting is put in my ical. With a quick isync down to my phone, once again my schedule is more-or-less mananageable.

I finally figured out how to play a lot of those fun german board games like San Juan and carcassone on this german website (of course) called brettspielwelt.de

It's kind of tricky to get set up but once it was, I learned to play Can't Stop! (a fun dice game) with Jade Lennox and Temvald.. Fun times!

I'm visiting chicago now surrounded by my friends kids (and friends).. Kids TV is fortunately a foreign world to me. Anyway, after an uneventful redeye followed by a quick couch nap, it's time for the ultimate geek fest -- a bunch of friends from college hole up in a hotel room every year and play games.

Not monopoly. Not board games (except the obscure german ones). Not video games. Nay, old school pen-and-paper roleplaying games. Today is Dune.
